Position: PHP Web Developer
Salary: Dependant on experience
Location: Team Valley, Gateshead
We are looking for a talented PHP web developer with at least 3 year’s experience, ideally in a commercial environment. You will be working alongside our existing team of web developers and web designers on a range of exciting new and existing projects, which will require knowledge of both open source and bespoke programming.
You should have good problem solving skills and the passion to continue advancing your skill set. You should also feel comfortable liaising with clients directly and be capable of handling multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Essential:
- A strong expertise in web development using PHP, MySQL, HTML and CSS.
- Experience with open source – WordPress & OpenCart.
- The ability to develop websites from layered PSDs or coded templates.
- A good understanding of cross browser compatibility.
- An understanding of common web security issues.
- Be able to work well as part of a team and individually.
Advantageous:
- Knowledge of mvc frameworks, ideally CodeIgniter
- A good eye for design is a plus.
- Knowledge of jQuery and Ajax.
- Basic understanding of design packages (Photoshop/Illustrator ).
- Onsite SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).
